Why A Foundation?
In 2009, Grayson UMC was blessed with significant gifts from the estate of Bill and Mary Johnson who were lifelong members of the Church. These gifts, along with funds raised during the “Now Is the Time” capital campaign, allowed us to pay off our mortgage and establish a parsonage for our Associate Pastor. To ensure that we wisely preserved the funds remaining after the mortgage was paid, the Church leadership decided to establish the Grayson United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc. to oversee, invest, manage and grow the funds for the future. These funds established the base line and the Foundation is now accepting gifts so that we can continue to secure the future for Grayson UMC.
Our Objective:
Invest in the present so that God’s vision for Grayson UMC will happen in the future.
